About Research to Reality

Welcome to the Research to Reality Community! ResearchtoReality.cancer.gov is an online community of practice designed to bring together cancer control practitioners and researchers to discuss moving evidence-based programs into practice.  Developed and supported by the National Cancer Institute (NCI), this community is both an information resource and a forum where members can connect and collaborate with other public health professionals to ask questions, discuss ideas and solutions, share useful resources and tools, and participate in cyber-seminars and other events.

ResearchtoReality.cancer.gov was developed in response to Cancer Control P.L.A.N.E.T. users' need to have a better, timelier way to engage their colleagues and share experiences. We invite you to join the dialogue through several interactive features:

Discussions

Start your own discussion threads, contribute to discussions already in progress, or search all discussions to find a specific topic of interest. You can also subsribe to discussions that are most relevant to you.

Cyber Seminars

Register for upcoming presentations and view the archive of past presentations. Each cyber-seminar includes a presentation summary, learning objectives, speaker bio's, links to published articles, and other helpful resources and tools.

Mentorship Program

Read the stories of the six mentees participating in the pilot NCI R2R Mentorship Program as they share their experiences in implementing an evidence-based intervention in their communities and engage with the pairs through comments and discussion. You can also subscribe to pairs' stories and receive email updates so you can easily follow their progress from month to month.
