For the March Advanced Topics in Implementation Science webinar, we were pleased to have Dr. Cara Lewis join us from Indiana University to share with us some of her cutting-edge work on advancing measures of implementation outcomes. Her presentation, “Advancing Implementation Science through Measure Development and Evaluation”, began with an overview of findings from the Society for Implementation Research Collaboration (SIRC) Enhanced Systematic Review and Synthesis of Measures. She also discussed several measurement issues that threaten the field of implementation science and directions for possible solutions.

We will be posting the archive of today's webinar shortly, but would like to open the discussion to you. Dr. Lewis included a few key questions during her presentation that we thought would be very helpful to get your thoughts and responses to:

  • When is it time to put a measure on the shelf?
  • What should be the minimal set of reporting standards for measures?
  • Is it possible to develop a core set of common measures?

We look forward to continuing the discussion on R2R!
