I am pleased that Keep ME Healthy has been incuded as part of the Research-Tested Intervention Programs site. This tool kit was developed by the Maine Youth Overweight Collaborative. By providing these tools and resources on RTIPS, we seek to provide practical support and guidance to health care practices, organizations and individuals to help improve care and outcomes for overweight and obese youth.
In my interview with R2R, I outlined some of my thoughts related to adapting this and other evidence-based programs. Many of the issues I raise may similar to ones you face: the role of "champions", the impact of limited resources and the value of training.
Join me in a discussion about Keep ME Healthy and share your experiences about redressing the childhood obesity pandemic.
