Ask the Expert: Cancer Survivorship for Older Adults

    The George Washington University (GW) Cancer Center invites you to join them for an upcoming Ask the Expert session titled Cancer Survivorship Care for Older Adults.

    Join a panel of experts to learn about older cancer survivors' experiences and needs, and promising practices to support this population including patient navigation and integrative medicine. The panel of experts include: Dr. Gabrielle Rocque, assistant professor of Medicine in the Division of Hematology and Oncology who also holds a secondary appointment in Gerontology, Geriatrics and Palliative Care at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, and Dr. Mikhail Kogan, medical director of the GW Center for Integrative Medicine. Dr. Kogan also serves as assistant professor of Medicine in the Division of Geriatrics and Palliative Care, is associate director of the Geriatrics Fellowship Program and provides geriatric consultations at the GW University Hospital.

    Learning Objectives:

    1. Understand the long-term and late effects of cancer and its treatment on older cancer survivors

    2. Discuss promising practices to improve the post-treatment experience of cancer survivors

    3. Discuss patient navigation for older cancer survivors
