Dr. Russ Glasgow has published over 350 peer reviewed articles and received the Society of Behavioral Medicine award for "Outstanding Scientist" in 2000. Dr. Glasgow is the Deputy Director for Dissemination and Implementation Science in the Division of Cancer Control and Population Sciences at the National Cancer Institute.
His interests and experience include:
- Implementation and Dissemination Research; Co-Director of the Center for Health Dissemination and Implementation Research at the Institute for Health Research, Kaiser Permanente Colorado.
- Health Communication, especially using new and integrated technologies; Director of Dissemination Core of the Cancer Research Network Center of Excellence in Cancer Communication Research.
- Designing, implementing, evaluating, and reporting on interventions using systematic approaches such as the RE-AIM framework, of which Dr. Glasgow is the primary developer, to accelerate translation of research to practice.
