Heather M. Brandt, PhD, CHESis an associate professor in the Department of Health Promotion, Education, and Behavior and Statewide Cancer Prevention and Control Program in the Arnold School of Public of Health at the University of South Carolina. She is also a faculty affiliate in the Women’s and Gender Studies Program. Since 1997, she has conducted cancer educational programs and research in South Carolina in partnership with other researchers and community partners to address cancer-related health disparities. Dr. Brandt is a social and behavioral scientist whose research interests focus on using multi-level and community-based strategies to address cancer disparities in cancer prevention and control, particularly HPV and HPV-associated cancers.
