Elyse R. Park, Ph.D., M.P.H. is an Associate Professor of Psychiatry at Massachusetts General Hospital/Harvard Medical School and a Senior Scientist in the Mongan Institute for Health Policy. She is the Director for Behavioral Sciences Research at the Tobacco Research & Treatment Center at the Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) and, in this capacity, develops and advises on evidence-based behavioral interventions.Dr. Park’s research focuses on motivational and behavioral intervention development, particularly for chronic stress and smoking cessation. She has an extensive portfolio of research integrating interventions into clinical settings, including her current R01 on smoking cessation integrated into cancer care.  Shehas received external funding from the American Cancer Society, the Livestrong Foundation, the American Cancer Society, and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation to support this research. She has served on the steering committee for the NCI’s Smoking Cessation Initiatives at NCI Cancer Centers and was a writing member for the NCCN’s newly released Smoking Cessation Guidelines.
