Joanne Pike is Executive Director, Preventive Health Partnership, a joint collaborative between the American Cancer Society, American Diabetes Association, and the American Heart Association. In this role, she is responsible for the strategic direction, leadership, and positioning of the partnership as a leader on prevention issues utilizing the assets and resources of each organization.
Prior to her current position, Joanne had been with the American Cancer Society for over thirteen years in numerous roles, most recently focusing on product development, monitoring trends in population needs, and identifying strategic outcomes to change behavior surrounding the prevention and early detection of cancer. She has also held positions focusing on tobacco control, nutrition and physical activity, and increasing screening rates and access to cancer screening through corporate and health plan systems, Quitline services, and in-person and online delivery modalities.
Joanne earned her Doctor of Public Health from the Gillings School of Global Public Health at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. Prior to ACS, she worked as a Licensed Professional Counselor focusing on violence prevention with teenage girls in San Antonio, Texas.
