Lisa Troyer, BA
Montana Cancer Control Programs,
Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services
Lisa Troyer is the Program Manager for the Montana Cancer Control Programs within the Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services. Lisa works with the Montana Cancer Control Coalition (MTCCC) and assist groups in implementing Montana's Comprehensive Cancer Control (CCC) Plan. Additionally, she focuses on policy and environmental system changes, primarily working with insurance companies and worksites.
For the R2R Mentorship Program project, Lisa has been working with her mentor, Dr. Eugene Lengerich, to systematically implement system-based changes in non-medical settings primarily with insurance providers. These changes will identify eligible members for cancer screening and increase the proportion of the insured population who are up-to-date with screening following national guidelines. Lisa will be establishing partnerships with healthcare providers to promote and increase the utilization of cancer screening and diagnostic services, particularly with a focus on colorectal cancer.
