Biography

Madeline La Porta is the Associate Director of the Office of Partnerships and Dissemination Initiatives (OPDI) in the National Cancer Institute’s (NCI) Office of Communication and Education. She has over 25 years experience in public health program administration, cancer information dissemination, evaluation, and systems development. As director of OPDI, Ms. La Porta’s areas of focus include national partnerships, multicultural media outreach, clinical trials support, professional education and training on cancer control evidence-based program planning. Ms. La Porta is an NCI representative in the Comprehensive Cancer Control National Partnership (CCCNP) and she is Chairperson of the CCCNP Communication Work Group. As such, she has been extensively involved in the planning and conduct of comprehensive cancer control initiatives in the states, tribes, territories, and U.S. Pacific Island Jurisdictions. Ms. La Porta holds a masters degree in communication from the University of New York at Buffalo.
