Shauntay Davis is the current Program Director for California's Comprehensive Cancer Control Program (CCCP) housed under the California Department of Public Health. She previously managed CCCP’s California Ovarian Cancer Awareness Program (COCAP) and has also worked with the CCCP Colorectal Cancer Program. Her current work spans the continuum of cancer with a focus on colorectal cancer screening and survivorship care plan utilization. Prior to working in the field of cancer prevention and control, Ms. Davis worked in the areas of sexual health, HIV/AIDS, and tobacco control with various organizations. Her experience includes working with special populations, health care access issues, social marketing campaigns, public health research and advocacy. She has lived in South Africa and Costa Rica studying public health, conducting research and working with non-governmental organizations. Ms. Davis volunteers her time leading a lupus support group in the Sacramento area.
