I am a Cancer Research Training Fellow for the Implementation Science Team at NCI. I am currently leading collaboration and partnership activities between the Division of Cancer Control and Population Sciences at the National Cancer Institute and the Division of Cancer Prevention and Control at the Centers for Disease Control. I am a medical anthropologist by training, with a master’s degree in applied anthropology from the University of Maryland. Before coming to NCI, I conducted qualitative research projects on a diverse range of topics, including health communication and treatment seeking behaviors for malaria in rural Mozambique; patient-reported outcomes of a community health worker program for HIV-positive transgender sex workers in Washington, DC; and cultural competency and sex education programs in rural Georgia, USA.
